2021-06-10 14:00:00 Peak inflation fears?

Time to rotate out of inflation trades? There is no question that global soft commodity prices have become very overbough. Recently softs have pulled back. If the peak should be in, inflation will start to come off. Central banks usually get more dovish when YoY inflation peaks. Given the normal lags, investors should then start to rotate out of inflation trades over the summer.

Update: bounce from the level 15506 reported yesterday; worked perfectly on touch.

2021-06-09 13:00:24 DAX UPDATE

Technical scenario unchanged from yesterday: nice rebound in the opening on 15620 area where the weekly moving average passes. Support for today remains 15600 / 15605. Resistance 15704 / 15750 / 15803. Very low range at the moment and low volumes below the daily average.

Cyclical deadlines incoming: futures rollover is one of them. FED & ECB decisions will be crucial: we expect volatile markets with profit taking by traders. Corrections will be a way to get rid of losing positions and to accumulate again buying positions from lower levels.

We are again testing trendline of a few days ago: the key level at 15605 was violently crossed. Next support at 15506.

Scenario tecnico invariato rispetto a ieri: bel rimbalzo in apertura in area 15620 dove passa la media mobile settimanale. Il supporto per oggi rimane 15600 / 15605. Resistenza 15704 / 15750 / 15803. Range molto basso al momento e volumi bassi sotto la media giornaliera.

Scadenze cicliche in arrivo: il rollover dei futures è uno di questi. Le decisioni della FED e della BCE saranno cruciali: ci aspettiamo mercati volatili con prese di profitto da parte dei traders. Le correzioni saranno un modo per sbarazzarsi delle posizioni perdenti e accumulare nuovamente posizioni di acquisto dai livelli più bassi.

Stiamo testando nuovamente la trendline di qualche giorno fa: il livello chiave a 15605 è stato violentemente attraversato. Prossimo supporto a 15506. Aprire / Come

2021-06-09 10:00:05 TRADING TIPS

#1 - Not every day is a good day to trade. I mean: not every day has the earning potential that we would like. There are two things to do: either we accept to take that little bit, or we wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day, even in the markets.

#2 - Usually I don't use breakout orders & I don't work on breaking-out levels. I prefer to wait passively to be hit by price with limit orders. You have to approach the markets by buying and selling at a discount. When you go to a store do you ask them to raise prices before you buy?

CONSIGLI DI TRADING

#1 - Non tutti i giorni sono buoni per fare trading. Mi spiego: non tutti i giorni hanno il potenziale di guadagno che vorremmo. Ci sono due cose da fare: o accettiamo di prendere quel poco, o aspettiamo. Domani è un altro giorno, anche nei mercati.

#2 - Di solito non utilizzo ordini di breakout e non lavoro sui livelli di breakout. Preferisco aspettare passivamente di essere colpito dal prezzo con ordini limite. Devi avvicinarti ai mercati comprando e vendendo a sconto. Quando vai in un negozio gli chiedi di alzare i prezzi prima di comprare?

2021-06-08 18:30:00 WAITING FOR ECB

While waiting for monetary policy decisions (tapering ?!) and Lagarde's words, the ECB continues to pump up its balance sheet. Total assets rose another €22.5bn to €7,680.1bn just ahead of Thursday's ECB meeting. ECB balance sheet now equal to 77% of Eurozone GDP vs Fed's 36%, BoE's 39% or BoJ's 133%.

ASPETTANDO LA BCE

In attesa delle decisioni di politica monetaria (tapering?!) e delle parole della Lagarde, la BCE continua a gonfiare il suo bilancio. Le attività totali sono aumentate di altri 22,5 miliardi di euro a 7.680,1 miliardi di euro prima della riunione della BCE di giovedì. Il bilancio della BCE è ora pari al 77% del PIL della zona euro contro il 36% della Fed, il 39% della BoE o il 133% della BoJ.
