TRADING PILLS
Many people often speak out of turn about money management: "let profits run & cut losses". This is what people who have never traded in their lives say. Psychology distorts this concept, as well as risk-return. Those who know how to trade can also manage long & big drawdowns.
Target is not have a perfect system, but make money on the market. Trading is often management & suffering of difficult moments, it is necessary have a strong mindset to manage these phases and not everyone can do it. These are unpopular words that no one would like to hear.
'Cause its more comfortable to talk about R:R 1:3-5-10 but reality is very different. Our race is not against the market but against ourselves. Making money & surviving is the only thing that matters, there is no ethics in financial markets, no reports & perfect profit curves.
This is why I have been focusing for years on management instead of technique. Technique matters relatively: its important to have a good trading plan & know how to act on the markets, but its much more important manage the trade, understand when to close, when hold positions.
Paradoxically, you could trade randomly & gain the same with good trade management, those who do this of work can understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying the rest doesn't matter but only advise where focus your efforts! "We are the problem", not markets that go up and down!

Molte persone parlano spesso a sproposito di gestione del denaro: "lascia correre i profitti e taglia le perdite". Questo è ciò che dicono persone che non hanno mai fatto trading in vita loro. L'obiettivo non è avere un sistema perfetto, ma fare soldi sul mercato. Il trading è spesso gestione e sofferenza di momenti difficili, è necessario avere una mentalità forte per gestire queste fasi e non tutti possono farlo. Queste sono parole impopolari che nessuno vorrebbe sentire.
Perché è più comodo parlare di R:R 1:3-5-10 ma la realtà è molto diversa. La nostra corsa non è contro il mercato ma contro noi stessi. Fare soldi e sopravvivere è l'unica cosa che conta, non c'è etica nei mercati finanziari, non ci sono rapporti e curve di profitto perfette.
È per questo che da anni mi concentro sulla gestione invece che sulla tecnica. La tecnica conta relativamente: è importante avere un buon piano di trading e sapere come agire sui mercati, ma è molto più importante gestire il trade, capire quando chiudere, quando tenere le posizioni.
Paradossalmente, si potrebbe fare trading a caso e guadagnare lo stesso con una buona gestione degli scambi, chi fa questo lavoro può capire cosa sto dicendo. Non sto dicendo che il resto non conta, ma solo consigliare dove concentrare i vostri sforzi! "Il problema siamo noi", non i mercati che vanno su e giù!
