The psychology of the losing trader
Many people contact us because they are looking for a method, a signal, an answer to their trading failures. Trading results (the real ones, sustainable ones) are often in disagreement with expectations of aspiring traders. The expectations this work has in the minds of dreamers are often at odds with reality. A return that oscillates between 3 and 5% per month, in case (impossible) we manage to close all months in gain, is an incredible result: it would be equivalent to over +50% per year.
Professional traders work with these percentages, sometimes even less, much less. The problem often resides in capitalization, expectations and in poor psychological training to manage the physiological drawdown phases.

I risultati nel trading (quelli veri, quelli sostenibili) sono spesso in disaccordo con le attese degli aspiranti traders. Le aspettative che ha questo lavoro nella mente dei sognatori spesso sono in contrasto con la realtà. Un rendimento che oscilla tra il 3 e il 5% al mese, nel caso (impossibile) che riuscissimo a chiudere tutti i mesi in gain, è un risultato incredibile: equivarrebbe oltre +50% annuo.
I trader professionisti lavorano con queste percentuali, a volte anche meno, molto meno. Il problema spesso risiede nella capitalizzazione e nelle aspettative e dallo scarso allenamento psicologico a gestire le fasi di drawdown, fisiologiche.
Siate onesti con voi stessi: se fino ad oggi avete perso sempre soldi sui mercati non è colpa degli altri, ma di voi stessi che riponete nel trading false aspettative per far diventare la vostra vita libera.
Il trader sotto la palma non esiste: è un gioco duro, un lavoro duro, tante ore al giorno, soprattutto all'inizio per imparare a gestire l'emotività, la tecnica è secondaria.
L'unica certezza che avrete è che non esistono certezze. Meditate gente.
