India's forgotten Warriors: Naikidevi
Mohammed Ghori who defeated Prithviraj Chauhan in 1192, had attacked Gujarat in 1178.
He offered that if Naikidevi, the queen regent surrenders to him with gold and women, he will not plunder her state. Naikidevi attacked his army and completely routed it.
Ghori ran away and didn't return to India till 1191. He never attacked Gujarat again!
