About Point
POINT was established by a group of humanitarian workers, and it headquarter is in Gaziantep, Turkey. As a non-governmental
organization, the co-founders of PONT realized the crucial capacity gaps and needs for the civil society and communities to play
a greater role in improving the response to the humanitarian crisis and better contribute to the stabilization of their conflict affected country. POINT provides capacity development to the local civil society and communities actors as well as local staff in
INGOs. This is to strengthen their voice, increase their impact and bring about the development of diverse, inclusive, and
independent civil society and communities.

JOB PURPOSE
The Project officer is responsible for implementing POINT’s CCCM & ER programs with a focus on activities in NWS through
different modalities.
OBJECTIVES
Provide day to day management of activities implemented in Idleb & Azaz Area, during the project planning and
implementation providing operational management. And to ensure the quality of implementation, accountability, and
transparency.
Tasks and Duties
➢ Contribute to development of overall projects implementation strategy, systems, approaches, tools, and
materials(applicable).
➢ Develop and implement activities in NW Syria.
➢ In collaboration with the project team and coordination, determine the strategic direction of the project in the short
and medium term and map out activities, and contribute to the preparation of project proposals and budgets as
necessary,
Project Implementation Follow-up, team management
➢ To Prepare and regularly update projects monthly work plans and schedules that support achievement of program
targets within projects timelines.
➢ Ensure that planned activities are successfully implemented according to POINT’s quality standards and SoPs.
➢ Ensure projects implementation is on time, target, and budget, using effective M&E systems to reach desired impacts.
➢ Conduct technical evaluation and quality check on project materials as applicable.
➢ Provide relevant technical expertise/guidance to ensure that technical quality and standards are maintained during
project implementation.
➢ Provide input and regularly review all OPERATION Follow-Up for an ongoing project together with the relevant
department manager and Filed Project Coordinator.
➢ Submit accurate and detailed reports on technical activities conducted.
➢ Be responsible for the management of technical officers and for ensuring that all field teams are comprehensively
briefed on the objective, expected output and overall implementation strategy of any given activity.
➢ Ensure that technical officers and other project/field staff are given training and complete all the necessary
documentation in line with project requirements.
➢ Submit the necessary reports to Donors / Authorities / Coordination bodies.
➢ He/she will be expected to provide reports covering activity implementation, achievement of objectives, successes /
challenges, beneficiary feedback, etc. Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to line manager
and donors.
➢ Plan, coordinate and oversee staff plans.
➢ Anticipate and mitigate risks and troubleshoot any unforeseen challenges during the project implementation.
➢ Ensure project records and documents (Flat files, beneficiary list, donation certificates, attendance sheets etc.) are
adequately prepared, compiled, and filed according to POINT procedures.
➢ Ensure that each member of the project team is aware of security issues, policies, SOPs, and they follow them
accordingly.
