The education system of Gurukula was given free to students by a guru in a ashram, and the most varied subjects were taught there, from scientific to literary ones, also warfare, spiritual disciplines and much more.

Now all Gurukulas have been destroyed and replaced with Western school systems. The revival of the ancient Vedic education system is needed in today's times, the future of the youth is being also destroyed.

Only Brahmins abstained from the consumption of meat and other Rajasic / Tamasic products, while other Varnas influenced by Raja and Tama guna were allowed to consume meat. Only beef was strictly prohibited and other types of dirty meat such as pork were not consumed.

Animals (usually goats, chickens, pigeons, buffaloes) were killed through Vedic rituals and sacrifices, so that their souls were freed and the meat was purified.

Vegetarianism became popular and practiced only with the appearance of philosophies such as Jainism and Buddhism, which influenced the society. Today the majority of Hindus are Vegetarians and animal sacrifices are no longer commonly practiced, except in some local traditions.
