GS increasing inflation forecasts again

Goldman Sachs' article is very interesting: they believe core PCE inflation peaked in the April report, but are now tweaking up year end estimates. Goldman: "We forecast core PCE inflation of 2.50% at end-2021 (up from 2.3% previously), 2.10% at end-2022, 2.15% at end-2023, and 2.20% at end-2024 based on our bottom-up inflation model. A top-down model projects that inflation will rise only modestly above 2% in 2023-2024"

Molto interessante l'articolo di Goldman Sachs: crede che l'inflazione core PCE abbia raggiunto il picco nel report di aprile, ma ora sta ritoccando le stime di fine anno. Goldman: "Prevediamo un'inflazione core PCE del 2,50% alla fine del 2021 (dal precedente 2,3%), del 2,10% alla fine del 2022, del 2,15% alla fine del 2023 e del 2,20% alla fine del 2024 sulla base del nostro modello di inflazione bottom-up. Un modello top-down prevede che l'inflazione salirà solo modestamente sopra il 2% nel 2023-2024".
