Survey commentary
This week just ended we have put a poll to our community on the financial instrument used to trade DAX. As for the section "Future" the choice was Mini-DAX; as for the section "CFD" 1 lot (or 1 € per point). We come to our conclusions, giving our opinion on the matter.
Future
DAX futures market is traded on Eurex: at the time of writing the offer has been expanded with introduction of Micro-DAX, in addition to the Mini and standard contract. Reference is ticker FDAX the one of 25 euro per point: any analysis must pass by this instrument both for what concerns volumes and to follow the flow of orders that fills the book. The Mini-DAX has a value of 5 euro per point and it is the one chosen by the survey: in our opinion low liquidity of this future makes it nervous and dirty (in the technical sense of the term). The best one, besides the standard DAX, in our opinion is the Micro as it gives the possibility to scale the entry in position and slowly it is becoming more and more liquid (even if at the moment it is not yet).
CFD
To trade on the DAX in our opinion is the best choice at the moment: the possibility to scale up to positions from 0.01 cent is very good news for us and for the risk management. Of course we have the spread to take into account but it is comparable to the commissions on the future. As long as the Micro-DAX future will not be a liquid and stable instrument (at the moment we have oscillations in volatility of bid/ask up to 6 points), we consider it the most useful and logical solution to do a serious, aware and lasting trading.

Commento al sondaggio
Questa settimana appena conclusa abbiamo posto un sondaggio alla nostra community sullo strumento finanziario utilizzato per fare trading sul DAX. Per quanto riguarda la sezione "Future" la scelta è stata Mini-DAX; per quanto riguarda il comparto "CFD" 1 lotto (o 1 € per punto). Veniamo alle nostre conclusioni, dando il nostro parere in merito.
Future
Il mercato dei future DAX viene scambiato su Eurex: al momento in cui scrivo l'offerta è stata ampliata con l'introduzione del Micro-DAX, oltre al Mini e del contratto standard. Il sottostante di riferimento è il ticker FDAX quello da 25 euro per punto: qualsiasi analisi deve passare da questo strumento sia per quanto riguarda i volumi sia per seguire il flusso di ordini che riempie il book. Il Mini-DAX ha valore 5 euro per punto ed è quello che è stato scelto dal sondaggio: a nostro parere la scarsa liquidità di questo future lo rende nervoso e sporco (nel senso tecnico del termine). Quello migliore oltre al DAX standard, a nostro parere è il Micro in quanto da la possibilità di scalare l'ingresso in posizione e piano piano sta diventando sempre più liquido (anche se al momento ancora non lo è).
CFD
Per fare trading sul DAX a nostro parere è la scelta migliore al momento: la possibilità di scalare fino a posizioni da 0,01 centesimo è un ottima notizia per noi e per la gestione del rischio. Chiaro che abbiamo lo spread da tenere in considerazione ma è paragonabile alle commissioni sul future. Fin quando il Micro-DAX future non sarà uno strumento liquido e stabile (al momento ci oscillazioni in volatilità di bid/ask fino a 6 punti), riteniamo la soluzione più utile e logica per fare un trading serio, consapevole e duraturo.
