The first school in Europe was opened in England in 597 CE. At that time India had about 732.000 Gurukulas.
The education system of Gurukula was given free to students by a guru in a ashram, and the most varied subjects were taught there, from scientific to literary ones, also warfare, spiritual disciplines and much more.
Now all Gurukulas have been destroyed and replaced with Western school systems. The revival of the ancient Vedic education system is needed in today's times, the future of the youth is being also destroyed.
