About today's incident, and why site went down in the first 15 minutes, we want to share the stats more transparently.
The DDOS request attack happened right at the time of the IDO. The below table is the requests we got from many countries but the most interesting part is the DDOS coming from U.S. as well, with 1.14 million requests, whose citizens can not even join our IDOs, due to KYC rules, so there was no point of having even 1k requests there. In short, it was a clear and planned DDOS attack.
We still completed our first OFE round, with many new users coming to Seedify for the first time.
Our product team will be putting DDOS security levels at higher instances during next IDOs for extra protection for the foreseeable future.
