I think we all gained a new appreciation for the very special magic that happens at a live performance, now that most shuttered concert halls are reopened after pandemic lockdowns and we can return to in-person events. In performance, audience and musicians create and share an experience of time outside its mundane boundaries. It’s about finding meaning in the ephemeral. And having a space for this to this happens is not inconsequential.
Whether it’s a small venue with local artists or the biggest concert hall with a philharmonic orchestra, live performance and the venues where it happens are the lifeblood of music culture.
