When I was performing ‘Fiyyashiyya’ live at the Fes Festival I had the magical feeling of completing a circle. I had performed the work at other events in other countries, but bringing it home to Morocco was truly fulfilling. I arranged this unique version especially for the remarkable group of musicians who accompanied me here, including the outstanding Moroccan vocalist Ismail Boujia and his group of accomplished singers.
