ASTRONOMICAL EVENTS: - Mercury at highest altitude in morning sky. Mercury is bright and well placed in the dawn sky. - Close approach of the Moon and Uranus. The Moon and Uranus pass within 0°02' of each other. - Lunar occultation of Uranus. The Moon will pass in front of Uranus, creating a lunar occultation visible from parts of Indonesia and Australia. - NGC 6541 is well placed. The globular cluster NGC 6541 (mag 6.3) in Corona Australis is well placed in the sky.
